Back on Earth, T.J, Chase and their two new friends were just waking up to a sunlit morning.  Well, sort of... Julie had woken up early to make breakfast for everyone.  When her attempts to wake up Naiomi, failed, she declared she needed no help and went down to the kitchen in a huff.
Down in the basement room, Chase was having just as much difficulty trying to wake up T.J. He had already pulled off the blankets and taken away T.J's pillow, but the grey duck just mumbled and continued sleeping.
"Wake up sleeping beauty!" Chase yelled into his ear and whacked him  with the pillow.  "If you want to find your 'supposed' sister, then we should get an early start."  Chase noticed his friend still wasn't moving, so he decided on a different attempt.  "Sorry pal, but desperate times call for desperate measures."  With that, he lifted up his own side of the mattress and flipped it over, causing T.J to tumble off the bed and onto the floor with a thud.
By now, T.J was wide awake and livid.  "Hey!  What the f-mmmf!" he shouted but was quickly muffled as the mattress landed on top of him.  His friend chuckled, as T.J muttered a few choice words from underneath the queen-size mattress.
"Got you outta bed though, didn't it?" Chase snickered, helping to remove the mattress from T.J.
"Jerk," mumbled T.J.  He glared at Chase before standing up.  "I'll remember that, next time you sleep in."
About an hour later, the four of them were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast Julie had made.  A half an hour before, Naiomi had finally woken up.
"About time," Julie chided to her friend.
"Shut up!" snapped Naiomi, not quite awake yet.  Chase and T.J looked at her then exchanged wide-eyed glances.
"Uh, don't mind her.  She's not a morning person," Julie explained.
"Neither are you," Naiomi mumbled.  The four of them were silent for a few minutes as they ate their food.
"So," Chase started, finally breaking the silence, "is your cooking always this good?"  He looked up at Julie, smiling.
"Well, uh..."  She was blushing bright red in return.
"Jules, you're lighting up like a Christmas tree," her best friend whispered to her.  Naiomi then turned to Chase and joked.  "Nah, you just caught her on one of her 'lucky days'."
"Oh, I see," chuckled Chase.  "Lucky for us, you mean."  Julie smirked along with them, still blushing slightly.  T.J elbowed his friend in the side and gave him a look.
"You're still going to help us, right?" the grey duck questioned Julie, turning his attention to her.
"Of course," she answered him.  "We shook on it, remember?  So, it's kinda like a promise."  She smiled, grabbing another pancake and pouring syrup on it.  "And I never go back on a promise."
"Somehow, I could sense that," T.J smiled back.  He thought he caught a glimpse of a mark on her left shoulder before she pulled her sleeve down.  "Hmm... I wonder what it is she's hiding from me, and why?" he thought to himself.
"Hope he didn't see that," Julie thought to herself after straightening out her sleeve.  "I don't even know what this mark is.  So, how could I explain it to someone else?"  She glanced over at Chase and caught him staring at her again.
"So, when and where do we start?" he asked aloud.
"Well, wouldn't you guys have a better idea than we would?" Naiomi questioned them, sounding a bit annoyed.
T.J just looked over at her and raised an eyebrow.  "Oh yes, you're right, because we know the Earth oh, so well....like the back of our hands."
Julie laughed, immediately picking up on the duck's sarcasm, while her friend sat frowning and rolled her eyes.  T.J looked over Julie and smiled, pleased at her reaction.  "Alright, he's a keeper," she commented.  "Great use of sarcasm."
"Wise ass," Naiomi muttered under her breath.
"You're lucky I can take a joke," T.J smirked at Naiomi.
"Ditto," she replied.  "Keep that up and I think we'll all get along just fine."

On Puckworld, Quaid McMallard had just arrived at the lair of the Brotherhood of the Blade, an infamous mob on Puckworld.
"Tough day at work, Quaid?" a male duck asked him with a smirk.
"Dumb question Duece," another duck snapped at the first.  "By that look, ain't it obvious?"
Quaid glared at the two ducks, Ace and Duece.  "Outta my face you two!  I don't need to hear your dumbass comments today," he growled as he continued on to his office.  The Brotherhood's leader looked around the room, glad to be back.  "My only quiet hiding spot," he reminded himself.
Dragging his feet, he walked around his desk and plopped down into his chair.  It rolled back on its wheels and Quaid nearly crashed into the bookcase behind him.  He cursed aloud and grumbled, wheeling himself back over to his desk.  "Stupid chair..."  A minute later, Ace and Duece walked in, ignoring their leader's disapproving glare.  "I thought I told you two to amscray?!" Quaid snapped.
"We wanted to tell you, we've figured out a plan to steal the Sky Sapphire," Duece told him, still ignoring Quaid's growing temper.  The older duck replied by rolling his eyes and shaking his head.
"That's great.  You just let me know how that works out."  He was clearly skeptical, staring them both down.  "Not even I have been able to get near that stone, it's so heavily guarded."
"But our plan is foolproof," Ace rebuted.
"How's that possible, when it was a couple of fools who planned it?" Quaid asked them, leaving them to ponder silently.  "Well anyway, best of luck to ya."
Ace looked over at him, frowning.  "You mean, you're not going to help us?"
"No, I'm not," Quaid told him while flipping through some paperwork on his desk.  "I have somthing more important to worry about right now."
"More important than the Sky Sapphire?!" Duece blinked in shock.
"Yes!" growled their leader.  "Now where's Bella?  I have a favor to ask of her."
"Isabella?" Ace questioned, as if to be sure, and Quaid nodded.  "Haven't seen her since this morning."
"Actually," Duece butted in, "I just saw her reading in the library."
"Great!  Thanks," replied Quaid as he stood up.  "Now....OUT OF MY OFFICE!" he blared, shoving the two ducks out of the room.  "Idiots...." he mumbled to himself, walking back to his desk.  He paused half way and turned back to the door.  "The library, huh?"  Quaid stood, thinking.  "I'd better go catch her now before she takes off anywhere," he decided aloud, then ran out towards the library to find the girl.
