Quaid was an active member in the Brotherhood
of the Blade for most of his life, following in his parents' footsteps. That is, until he met Sophia DeL'eau.
One could say "opposites attract" with Quaid and Sophia, because
they were two completely different ducks, coming from opposite sides of the track. Quaid's family was in the thieving
business, while Sophia's familiy was involved in the military and law enforcement.
Quaid says it was love at first site, but Sophie claims otherwise.
She made him prove his love to her by quitting the thieving business. When she found out he was a thief, she was angry
at first, but she felt he could change, and gave him a chance. Because Quaid truly loved her, he did quit the Brotherhood,
for a few years, anyway. But, little does she know, that he found a way to sneak back, occasionally.
